Right now, our children’s Sunday School classes are on mission – mission in Africa! Since our West Lawn team returned from Tanzania last May, it has been a goal of ours to help build a new Sunday School classroom in Magambua. We will put this dream into action beginning in four days!
In addition to their regular Sunday School lessons, between February 12 through March 11, children age 3 through Grade 12 are learning how they can help build a new Sunday School building in the “bush,” supporting the Africa Inland Church. Everyone at West Lawn are asked to join us in prayer as we seek to raise $5,000 to erect a new Sunday School building for God’s children in Tanzania.
During the Sunday School hour, the children will learn about this mission, its purpose, our passion and the children who will be impacted. Children have special offering envelopes for the five weeks of the campaign, and are invited to purchase homemade gifts made by the women of Magambua. Other events, including a “School Supply collection,” are part of this campaign.
